Biography

Mallory Hawks

Mallory is from Kansas. Twister is her all time favorite movie. If she had the guts, she would be a storm chaser. From an early age, she had a closeted obsession with dark musicals. She got through middle school by locking herself in her room each night and acting out Sweeney Todd. Every song. Every character. She would also wait until no one was home and record “Rose’s Turn” into a Fisher Price Tape Recorder.

One day she decided it would be fun to perform in front of actual people instead of a wall covered in “got milk?” ads. It was a good day. She majored in Musical Theatre at Webster Conservatory in St. Louis and moved to New York City soon after.

Some of her favorite adventures since graduating include traveling the country in spandex for six months, workshopping new musicals, recording demos of new musicals, pretending to know how to play the mandolin, pretending to actually be British in front of a casting director while improv-ing a conversation about yogurt and men, pretending to be a stripper, violently tearing newspaper off a wall with her teeth, making Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty laugh with a one-liner, performing her dream role in front of her family and getting a frozen turkey thrown at her repeatedly.

She also helped create "The Bette Davis Game". If you are interested in playing a round or two, please give her a call.

She has always wanted to live in New York. She loves it. She also loves things that are absurdly comedic. She is thankful every day for her support system of friends, teachers and family back home.
